Congratulations to Zul Kanji for being selected to receive the CDHA Outstanding Research Award 2010.
Zul is well respected by his peers and his second and third year VCC dental hygiene students as he expertly teaches them in various areas of Biomedical and Dental Sciences.
He is also a 2005 graduate of the VCC Dental Hygiene program and was a memorable valedictorian for the School of Health Sciences that year.
Zul won this very prestigious national research award from the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) Recognition Program.
This CDHA award in participation with Proctor &Gamble Company is offered to acknowledge the important role of dental hygiene research in building the knowledge base of the profession, guiding the practice of the dental hygiene profession, and improving the oral health of Canadians.
The decision to award the prize to the manuscript, titled Dental Hygiene Baccalaureate Degree Education in Canada: Motivating Influences and Experiences, was unanimous.
The manuscript is currently under peer review for consideration in the Canadian Journal of Dental Hygiene.
